What do you intend to fish for.

Teklon gold is good bit pricey but good strength to diameter ratio

Another vote for Maxima. I use clear for my dries and chameleon for my sea trout fishing. I Just use fluorocarbon for sub-surface work.

For reservoir fishing I'm happy with Fulling Mill fluorocarbon - not the thinnest for breaking strain but I've always found it reliable.

For proper fishing there's nothing to beat Stroft - best breaking strain / diameter but don't fall into the trap of buying the breaking strain - buy the diameter - oh, and by the way, learn to tie knots properly before you shift the blame of poor performance on to the material.
