Default December Grayling.

Any one interested in a forum day out, Grayling fishing on the River Nith at Thornhill, Mid Nithsdale, Dumfries and Galloway, December/January, I would plan/organise/manage if enough members were interested. Could probably accomodate up to 20, fishing known hot spots. Dont know what association would charge for block booking though.
3 Miles double bank fishing, easy access, BIG GRAYLING,(I have landed two over 3lbs this year.) lovely scenery, and of course, my expert knowledge of water!!
Will judge response over next week and take from there.
regards
bert

I remember your original query re sea trout!
glad you had good time.
beats i am on about are directly upstream, and i have fished them for nigh on 30 years.
basicaly know every inch, and where we can catch grayling, there are some lovely glides and streams for them, every year i catch several, mostly when i am fishing for sea trout, but earlier this year i concentrated on grayling and had a hen fish of 24 inches long, just out of spawning, and in poor condition, but still weighed over 3 lbs!!.
Am fishing for salmon on river this week, and will find out costs for venture, thanks to everyone else who had replied up to this point, however one question, what days suit? mid week or weekends?.
open answers or pm me.
regards
bert
