Default Many Apologies

A while ago there was a post here suggesting the Post Office had taken a silk leader from an envelope.

This is not true and they've been maligned through my error. I clearly opened the envelope and let one of the leaders fall, and assumed only one leader had come.

The second was later found under a sofa.

My apologies to the Post Office for maligning them and to Steve (the incensed poster of the original thread) for mis-leading him.

Hi Marmalade,
The Post Office DID manage to loose an envelope with 3 furled leaders posted to me by Phil at Spider Plus (along with a USB memory stick posted 'Special Delivery' by a friend at about the same time).
Draw your own conclusions as to if this is a bit fishy...
To the great credit of Phil he replaced the 'lost' leader FOC. A proper gent.

Andy

Many apologies to marmalade, as had I bit my lip and not jumped off half cocked like that he wouldn't have had to make this embarrassing public apology. The blame is mine completely.
If only that Phoenix and Struble winder had a similarly happy ending!
Mike and Jean sent me a replacement immediately and in the end did not charge me for the postage via courier at considerable cost - and my request. I only hope they got compensated by the French PO.
