Default Sage TCR made me violently sick

Hi All,

Went to Barn Elms yesterday to try out my new TCR, and new bright orange line (thanks PP), only managed a few hours and then had to go home to be violently sick.

So the question is, was it caused by the new rod, or the fact that I'd just eaten a mars bar which had been in my fishing bag for the past 3 months (and therefore in the car over the summer). It's a mystery!

I'm blaming the rod.

John

A TCR is a bit overgunned for that puddle

You were presumably casting from one lake to the other

Ah yes, but you're not taking my casting ability into account in that calculation, but give it a couple of outings.

I'm not sure where that perception comes from, seems as easy to cast as any other rod I've tried. That said, I'll probably break it next weekend.

You may well be allergic to the rod - but you may not, try chewing the next one properly before swallowing.

I agree. Super stiff rods let you cover up massive overpowering problems... Had this discussion yesterday and outcome was if you learn with a soft rod you can cast a stiff rod, if you learn with a stiff rod you won't have a hope in hell of casting a soft one!
