Default hatches magazine

I like many others on here buy quite a few of the fishing magazines that are available to us here in the uk.I decided to buy the hatches magazine when it came out and i have got to say it is by far the most enjoyable and instructive fly fishing magazine i have ever read. What a great concept,an online mag for most of the year and a printed version once a year, why cant we do something like that over here? I do not have any idea what something like that would cost to set up but it must be cost effective, why else would the americans do it!
The magazine has 96 pages and i counted up just the full page ads,it has 6. I then picked up an english mag which had 97 pages and just counted full page ads again it had 22!!!!!
In this country we have some very good fly tyers, you have only got to look on this forum and some very good fishermen, so i cannot see why we could not have the same set up over here as the americans do with the hatches magazine.I will be getting my copy evey year.

Hi ck, yes it is a special order magazine from the U S A i got mine from Phil at spidersplus i think somebody else said they had got the 08 07 editions as well. Its not cheap as magazine go but imho it is well worth the £6.99.iI have been fly fishing and tying for a good many years and this is definitely the best mag i have read. After reading the very first article it got me thinking that i have got to look at my tying a bit differently!
