Default Long shot Lost rod and reel

Yesterday i popped out for an hour to try a couple of new dries i had tied up on my local river the River Tone and after having a few fish went back to my car and set off home.

My car central locking started playing up so i put my rod against a bench and tried to sort it out.

To cut a long story short i jumped in the car and drove off.

This morning i went to take my gear out of the car to go to work and realised i had left the rod and reel against the bench.

I had no time to go and look for it this morning as i needed to be in Wales to see customers.

I have been back tonight and of course there is no sign of it.

The rod was a Scott E2 and it had a Lamson Ls 1.5 on it and was left next to the river Tone at Bradford on Tone near Taunton Somerset.

The reel was a two tone Lamson.

This is a massive long shot but there is a reward if anyone gets the rod and reel back to me.

I feel so angry with myself for being so stupid.

I have contacted my local club to see if anyone has handed it in and gone to the local pub 100 yards up the road from where i left the rod and reel.

WCB

What a bummer Toby, so easily done as well.
I would report it to the local police as well just in case some honest person has handed it in.
Hope you get it back.

I'm very sorry to hear your bad news. Don't beat yourself up, you were very understandably distracted; and the guy who never made a mistake never got out of bed. Here's hoping, TerryC

Hope you get it back wcb. It's such a gutting feeling leaving something behind, I did it with a camera once, luckily it was still there when I came back 24 hours later.

Fingers crossed.

wcb,/
Ten years ago, I done pretty much the same!
Absolutely bummer. Never got my kit back.
Ten years on I can still see my outfit lying on the bench that I left it on, a bloke walks along and sees it ...

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I don't expect to see it again.

Its such a shame as the Scott E2 is not made anymore and it was such a peach of a rod.

The problem i have is that i have a couple of spare spools for the Lamson and i don't think i have another one to use them one

Any consolation I had a lefty krey 6' 6'' and an Ari hart reel I had just spent too much on. And placed them on the roof of my car while I took a call. I then drove off! I put notices up ever where, but no news.
The sickener is its the second Ari hart I have done this to...........Theres plenty other dumb f******rs out there.
