Default Couriers - any recommendations

Anyone recommend a courier that will take a 4-5ft Rod Tube with rod.
Delivery within UK at a sensible price.

Tried Interlink, prices OK but they no longer take packages longer than 1m (or so they told me when I rang this morning - recent change to their 'rules').

Thanks

Brian,

Check out www.interparcel.com

I've used them before and had no problems at all.

Cheers,

Adrian

Default Courier firm

I have used Parcelforce, the parcels arm of the Royal Mail, for sending rods. Perhaps not strictly a courier firm as you have to take the rod and tube to your local Post Office, but surprisingly cheap.

Thumbs up

Parcel Force via the Post Office handled a 5 foot tube for me no problem. 15' 3 segment rod.

As gunner100 said: they are inexpensive too.

Another vote for interparcel - I've recently cleared about 20 rods via ebay and used them for items to the UK, ROI & Europe - (they were recomended to me on the Cemex coarse fishing forum)

- All my items received excellent feedback from the buyer and they were cheaper than Parcel Force (why trust anything linked to the post office at the moment!) UPS and DHL.
Ironically UPS picked the parcels up !!!

Online booking & collection at a point that suits you and cheap as chips ... most of mine to the UK cost £8.99

I always use http://www.parcel2go.com/ when I sell stuff on another forum (usually surplus motorcycle parts/accessories)

I've never sold/sent a rod but I'm sure they would be able to do it.

As a rough estimate they are usually 1/2 the price of parcel farce!
