Default Line slick

Guys, I believe that there is a few houshold products (e.g. Mr Sheen??)that when applied to your fly line, makes the line slicker and easier to cast, without the need to buy expensive products from fishing shops/catalogues etc. Any help would be appreciated guys.

most household polishes contain silicon which will give a smooth surface to your line ,but they dont contain plasticisers to keep it from going brittle ??

Armor All dashboard cleaner is very good. Cleans the line well and leaves it slick. Washes off after a while though. Been using it for a few years now and it doesn't seem to damage the lines.

ArmorAll Dashboard wipes is what I've used and the lines don't seem to suffer for it.

I use Loon line speed or Sci.Angler line dressing. I tried some household items ( including Mr. Sheen ), but they`re not nearly as good. Peter.

Back To Black from Halfords will do a good job as well. It's actually clear, so you won't end up with black floating lines.

I sued to use the Armor All spray and found it good.
Buit nowadays I use the Snowbee Line Slick which leaves lines very slick and smooth. Lasts well too as you don't need to use much.

I used to use dashboard shine and it worked ok. as barbusbruce said due to the silicon. however recently i tried proper snowbee line slick and it,s far superiour and worth the money. a bottle will last for years. I remeber a post here a chap had used amorol wipes on his sink line, after it the line would not sink ? is it that good ?

Hi', I've used Cortland, Snowbee and Sci Anglers' line cleaner/dressings and they are all good, as far as I'm concerned. TC
