Default Where to fish near Stainforth Yorkshire?

I'm visiting this weekend and would like to spend a day out on the water (boat or bank) the brownie season is closed so I'll need to find a rainbow stocked water. I can't afford a day's rod license for migratory so sea trout fishing is out and anyway I'll be partying at night

Where should I go folks? Please help out.

think you may struggle seeing as your in the heart of coarse match fishing country , the only place i can think of that used to have fly fishing is lindholme lakes ,not sure if they still do but may be worth giving them a ring ..

Thanks but it's the Stainforth near Settle. I would've liked to fish Malham Tarn but it's not stocked so it's out of season I think?

I do appreciate the links further south though. I'd really like to fish Ladybower some time.

There should be some decent grayling fishing on the Ribble, I'd have thought?

What glorious place names names there are round there. Looking at the Google map, I can see Goat Lane, Dog Hill Brow, Buck Haw Brow, Giggleswick. And for Wham, take Wham Lane from Giggleswick and you'll be there in no time…
