Hi guys,

this is to anyone from my neck of the woods (or anyone realy) who might know what date the trout season ends on the bann (Gilford)? Planning to head out on Monday, think season ends on the 6th?

Upper Bann season ends 31st October mate.
There's still time to get a dollie or a salmon. Lots of fly on the Banbridge stretch last night, stacks of wee brownies but no big fish.

Yea im getting a hole world of we buggers!!

Nearly every 2-3 casts i hit a we one but no sign of anything to even bend the rod a bit lol. Any spots you would recomend? (dont know the area that well even though im from Lurgan ) Some directions might be needed too im afraid! Cheers!

There are some larger resident brownies on the Upper Bann, up to the 2 1/2 pound mark. As always time, place and method.

Next flood will see a push of running fish on most rivers.

Most are down to the bones at the moment.
