Was just up in Iceland with Nick and got a quick glimpse of the Iceland trailer which looks great. Can't wait to see it on the big screen.

Also looking forward to seeing what Charles has put together on the chalkstreams.

Hopefully see a few people from here at the London show.

Mat

Default London - see you there!

There will be a Fish&Fly contingent heading up to support the London show too on the night. We are looking forward to it and hope the angling public will come and have a great night out and encourage more film tours to reach these shores so we have something to look forward to in the dark winter months!
Might hang around afterwards for a while too if you know what I mean!

I have heard great things about this event and it has run very successfully in other country's so count me in for Exeter.

Looking forward to it.

It would be great to meet a few local guys and have a beer as well.

It's a pity that a Welsh venue wasn't booked. Any particular reason for this?

Hi Diawl bach

We really wanted to play as many shows as possible this year, Cardiff was on the radar but we decided to start small and build the festival up over coming years as we have done in other countries. So judging by the positive response so far I reckon Cardiff will be part of the Rise Festival 2010.

Where are you based in Wales? Is Cardiff the best place to hold a show in Wales next year? I'd appreciate your feedback.

Thanks Nick R

Cheers for the heads-up, Nick. I've been really keen to see the Tazzy film ever since I saw the trailer a couple months back. Looks like it'll be quite a treat on the big screen.

Count me in for the London show. Working on two or three mates to come along as well.

Hi Nick,

Would there be a chance of a showing in Ireland (Dublin?) in future years?
I'm sure anglers would receive it with open arms over here for the winter months!

The trailers for some great 'indie' angling short films through 'The Drake' show the standard of production is better every year.
Fantastic with the likes of 'Once in a blue moon' and others. Very best of luck with the road show.

Cheers,

Brent.

Hi Brent

Yes at this stage I think a show in Dublin for next year's tour is definitely on the cards. I actually lived in Ireland for three years so nothing would give me greater pleasure than to return with the film fest.

I agree with you that the standard of 'indie' angling films is going up every year and I think the film festival can be a great way to nurture some of the talent out there or at the very least give budding filmmakers a platform at which to launch their first movie. Running the film fest in Australia/NZ over the last four years we have seen an upsurge in fresh, progressive fly fishing films being made.

Cheers Nick
