Default Framlingham Mere

We visited friends in Framlingham last weekend. We had a wander round the grounds of the castle and took in the views of the Mere and watched trout rising. I have searched the forum and googled it, but cant find any information on the Mere and wether it can be fished. My friend says he has never seen anyone fishing there.

Anyone know anything about Framlingham Mere?

I've just been given to understand, Framlingham Mere is a designated nature reserve, no fishing...
