Default Longtown, Hereford

I will be taking part in a charitable event on the 2nd of October in Longtown, Hereford. I was thing about extending my stay and wondered if there were any locations to fish nearby.

Hi Eddie
You'll have a lovely stay... marvellous part of the world. Our trout season finishes on Sept 30th But... there is grayling fishing to be had on the River Dore which is just over the next valley. Have a look here

I would have a punt on the Chanstone Court beat. Small stream fishing but it holds an excellent head of grayling. I wouldn't fish with anything longer than 8ft but 7ft would be my first choice. PM me if you want further information, but if you read back through the Monnow thread in the rivers update section of these boards, you will find plenty of guidance.
bfn
Dave
