Default river fishing info

Hi all

me again

so im looking to get into river fishing start of the next season probally around when the next rod licence comes out i figures a good date.

ive never fished rivers before and i dont really know anyone down here i can tag along with or show me the ropes

ive got a few questions so here we go

1. what is required for wading do i have to have boots or do waders come with boots and will any jacket do or does it have to be a wading jacket

2. where do you park, do you park at the farmers house who has the river running through his land. do you have to knock on his door and ask if its ok. if he spots you do you have to leg it ?

3. do i need both licences when fish for trout on a river that has salmon in it or is there a complete diffrent technique that EA regard as fishing for trout as i really dont want to go down the route of getting court summances again.

4. whats a good outfit rod size at the moment i use 9ft 6' well really i suppose its dependant on whats in the area tree wise

5. anything else i should know (fishing the chester area but suppose on special days i could travel into north wales if river fishing grabs me as much as it does on still waters)

thanks in advance

steve.
