Default Fishing report and pics!

A friend and I started a new blog last week and have put up a report about our trip to the lake district.
We've both written parts and have used different coloured text so its not as confusing.

Check it out, tell us what you think, and above all, give us some advice!

It doesnt matter if your catching fish or not, at least your out enjoying yourselves trying to catch. Pictures look great.
I travel to the lake district myself but tend to fish High Newton which is my fav water.
Anyway from manchester myself, do you fish local here.ck

Well done lads...nice blog with some superb pics.

I find doing a blog is a great way to keep a personal record of some of your more memorable days out and also adds another facet to a days fishing.

Hopefully we may see some more of your exploits in the future.

Good luck.
Sabsman.

Cheers for reading!

Canada kid - We somtimes fish the goyt and etherow. Theres plenty of fish there but we haven't managed to land anything of any decent size.
Where do you fish around Manchester? I want to try and get down to the Dee before the seasons out.

Sabsman - Yeah it does add another dimension to the day and writing it reinforces the memories as well. I've had a look at your blog and will give it a proper read when my boss isn't spying on me as much. I'll add you on to our blog list as well.

Have you managed to land many grayling, plenty in the goyt and etherow.
I think you do a lot more river fishing than myself, tend to use the reservoirs and stillwaters in the area.
Apparently and i dont know if this is true, just what i heard but there is supposed to be salmon jumping in the river to Stockport ( that might be the goyt) anyway let me know if you get one. ck

We prefer to fish wild places, be it rivers or lakes/lochs. I've been up to stocks a coulpe of times as well, good fun but I prefer fishing for wild trout.

Its the Mersey that flows from stockport. Its formed at the confluence of the Goyt and the Tame which meet there. When/where did you hear these rumours and where were they supposed to be seen? PM me if you want.

We'd managed a few very small but perfectly formed Grayling in the 3 times we've been to Brabyns park and got one of about 1/2lb but thats it. I've bought some czech nymphs and am gonna give them a go whe I get chance but have struggled so far with detecting takes using the upstream method!
