where abouts is the tear ,if its in a high stress/pressure area like the heel ,i personally would have it done properly,to be honest i think i would have it done professionally anyway as there is a lot of movement within the foot area and self repair may not be strong enough and may require stitching ??

I repaired several punctures through the sole of mine just by cleaning with alcohol and smearing aquasure over the area. That was months ago and no problems since.

TBH I have never heard of anyone replacing a stocking. I imagine it would be problematic as stitching would be involved. If you are wearing out or damaging the stocking foot regularly something ain't right. I have always found the seams at the crotch and knees are where most leaks occur.

All you need is a tube of "BLACK WITCH" it's for the repair of Neoprene! It seals anything water tight !! I used it on an old pair of breathables and they no longer leak!! For best results ; leave for two days after applying!

It's ten times better than Aquasure!!!!!!!! But it's black (as the name suggests) and a bit messy!

mostyn , black witch is an adhesive , whereas aquasure is a sealant , the black witch is good if you have say a small tear where you can apply it to both sides of the tear and press together ,is it not for gluing together rather than sealing ???

A small piece of material tape or neoprene tape then Black Witch - job done! It will never leak again! All the deep sea divers use it!
