Has anyone fished Canada Lake near Cardiff?I've passed there a few times and it looks fantastic-nice rural surroundings and from what I saw it dosen't look like a typical 'put and take' where you catch your limit in half an hour.
An interesting fact is they stock koi carp and I've heared of a few people catching these on the fly there

i fished there back in June - they had a weed problem, the guy who works there was getting stuck in to remove it and there were places you could fish

plenty of trout in there - i caught 4 on C&R, mainly on dries

its a great setting but i must say, the trout looked a little on the thin side to me

there were loads of small goldfish, a nuisance really

i would give it a go though and i shall be going back myself
