Default where in scotland ?

I have decided to leave this ratrace in the southeast , and move to scotland next year , but not that sure where , moving mainly for a better quality of life , the landscape wildlife generaly the great outdoors , oh and i suppose some fishing anyway thats what i told the GF , even though she fishes too. i wondered if any of you gents living north of the border could give me any tips to help me decide where to go , we thinking maybe the borders , west coast , or possibly perthshire , would be interested to hear your comments ,thanks

Find out Jim, 3lb graylings address and move next door, he seems to catch more than his fair share.
Good luck with the move, just get a midge net.

Haltwhistle.

Cracker of a place - and you'll just be soft nancy sutherners - rather that full-bore wetbacks.

West coast full of midges and weather not so good,If you want away from the rat race, with a nice way of life, nice folk, plenty of fishing, greenery and beautifull surroundings,morayshire/highlands is your place.Depends if you need a job also.

I've been back two weeks now, already had enough, i'm off again on walkabouts next week, Red Dear in Canada for starters I have some friends over there who keep asking me to go and do a spot of fishing and hunting, I'll do the fishing but no way am I going to shoot any wildlife, I'll go now then I can be back before the 20 feet of snow arrives....
It's pretty grim in Red Dear when the snows arrive, I've seen some of it in the past, and I don't like it one bit. take care my friend.
