Default WestMeath Lakes?

Hi, can somebody tell me how the lakes in westmeath are fishing and how to fish them.

Im new to lake fishing but am thinking to head for westmeath tomorrow to try out a bit of lake fishing. I was thinking to go to collinstown or lough lene. Its 30 a head for boat and motor which is not cheap. Is this the best of the westmeath lakes or would I be better going to another?

Also can somebody please advise how to fish these lakes...what sort of fly should I use. Ive read a lot about blobs on here. Would these be useful combined with a few wet flies. Im guessing there will be no dry fly fishing at this time of year?

Thanks

Default Westmeath Lakes

That post indicates the problems of Lake fishing. People arriving, no idea where to go on the lake, messing about with stupid flies, using engines they have no experience of and in some cases getting into serious trouble if a wind comes up.
