Can't you get on most beats of the Test for around £150-£180?

I think you'll stand a good chance if you book a couple of days before you actually go.

In less than 3 hours you could fish the river Teign, £20 will cover you for all species, or £12.50 for brown trout, see http://www.upper-teign-fishing.org.uk/
Cheers

Ok, can I ask you a quick question if you don't mind?
What's a decent, reasonably easy beat of the Test to fish which is not going to break the bank?
