not sure if i can name the place but it is in glasgow and claims to be a good angling store. has anyone else suffered at their hands? three friends and i put in a bulk order of consumables, various leader material, tying materials etc. we were assured all was in stock and avaliable. it took about two months of part orders wrong orders and phone calls before we eventually got all our gear, having got some from elsewhere in the meantime to keep fishing safe to say there are a good few anglers wont be goin near them again

i agree it doesnt take rocket science this store is a disgrace ive had the same problems wont be back there in a hurry thats for sure

ok mate, new to this so wasnt sure if i could or not but it gives me great pleasure to announce thet GLASGOW ANGLING CENTRE has been the most incompetent angling store i have dealt with.

I'd name them. People do it to other large firms all the time

I've certainly only heard bad reports about GAC's mail order side of things (it seems to be fine if you actually visit the shop) However, I noticed a letter in TF saying how wonderful their service was. I just wonder if TF would print a letter that was slagging GAC off or would they be too scared about losing the advertising revenue.

i saw the letter! my thoughts were that it was a plant! i know loads of people who have been let down by them. the shop is fine because you are buying what you see. they tell you it is in stock over the phone, then order it from their suppliers!(in my opinion)! that letter was just strange! not my experience, or many others

Had the same scenerio myself, ordered 2 rod tubes, only one turned up, ordered a rod, did a store check and it was in stock, few days later get an e-mail saying out of stock even though it was still on the website, P*^s poor service in my book, sent of a stinking e-mail reply and nothing back. Had the same situation with Snowbee regarding a rod tube, at least they apologised and offered me 10% of a newer model, so no prizes for guessing who I will be using again and who I wont!
