I'd like to fish Lough Arrow at least once before the season ends.I would appreciate it if anyone can give me advice on what flies to fish and what areas of the lough to try.Thanks

Might be difficult to get genuine info posted on here as there is an Interprovincial match on Lough Arrow soon. You might even be involved yourself

Havent fished it in a while but you wont go too far wrong with green peters, golden bumbles, and dabblers. But also worth trying the odd blob

Hi Oakham Orange, that had crossed my mind alrite, but im not into competition fishing at all. I like fishing different lakes in Ireland, only really started it this year.Thanks for your advice

Its pea soup at the minute with few fish coming off. I have heard of a few quality trout around the 4lb mark are being caught recently.

You should make a point of fishing it. It is a cracking place for the dry fly.

But it can be a sulky lake.

No worries, wouldn't rule out dries either, especially if your there in the evening.
