Default Droppers

Further to our discussion on droppers 'up or down' I see there is an article on this very subject in Septembers T&S by our very own Troutheaven.(Stan)
not read it yet.

Hi', Jim. I have tested the 'droppers' I made in a test rig that is a loop which permits you to pull on the water knots in such a way that one end of the lighter material used pulls as though it was a down facing dropper length, while the other pulls as though it was an upward facing dropper length. I had to do it this way so that I could get an even pull, testing one knot against the other. The lighter material broke where the 'dropper' length pulled against the wraps of the water knot. Exactly what we thought would happen; but I will do it again, and I will try using double-unis and maybe double-grinners.
I may take a photo of the loop rig as its easier to check a picture than it is to follow my text!! Terry
