Default Good Quality fly line

As mentioned earlier ,i cut about 2.5 feet of the front of my fly line due to a rip in it.
Was out tonight and when casting the line sort of fell dead and splashed down onto the water. The line was a greys grxi floating line a WF 6 so i have decided that i will need to get a new one.
I would like a line that stays straight and casts easily.
Vision attack line at 20 quid are they any good?
I am willing to pay more for better quality, maybe as much as 50 quid.
Any sugggestion???????

This has been covered about a billion times, please use the search function then buy a Snowbee XS or Rio Gold.
And before you ask Grommit will do the best deals.
Dont dare ask whether it should be DT or WF.
If you are over 50 years old and grippy buy a DT, if not buy a WF.

Let the battle commence......

In another thread I have just mentioned that I currently use Carron Lines, not cheap at £50 but a quality product.

If you are wanting to go high end, Loop lines are very good indeed, Rio Gold is also excellent. The new snowbee xs lines are a bit hit and miss, with a few I bought having to be sent back.

For sheer value, Pitsford Pirate on here does very good lines for around £15. Supple, cast well and lay straight.

I have one of the his new ones, that I hope to try out shortly.

Overall, if you were going high end, I would get the Rio Gold, or a loop Multi line.

And Grommit wont be beaten in price or service.

Gold is a great all rounder. Multi is more shooting head, but good close in too.

The Gold has a double taper/long belly feel to it, roll casts very well too. You wont be disappointed.

I love my GRXi WF6 lines and would say get another... I got the floater, Intermediate and sinking lines. Come to think of it I got a GRXi 9ft 6 #6/7 rod and the GRXi reel

Even going to get the 8ft #4 rod for river fishing for next season and gonna get a GRXi floater WF4 for that too
