Hey everyone,

Has anyone been to Carman Trout Fishery before!?! Just discovered its existence today near Renton so thinking of trying it out as on a train route!

Cheers,

Hi Scott, I fished Carman last Saturday along with 21 others in a small comp. I left along with quite a few others at 2pm, at that time we had 2 fish between us, I lost one. Good sized place, you must be careful bank fishing, as it is mostly off of dam wall. Weather was not very kind to us on Saturday. If you want any more info just ask.
Billy.

scotty their is no better lace to bank fish than harelaw and many will agree with me on that ,,Carmen fishery is OK if you want to be fishing from mostly the same spots all day ,if i were you i would certainly consider harelaw as fish will or should now be on the chase and sport will be excellent from the bank, so its up to you mate ,hope you make the right choice for yourself.

Hi Scott, Only two small places to wade, and these are standing room only for two rods, it is not a wading water, if you prefer wading don't go.
Billy.
ps Not for thigh boots, chesties only in these two small areas.

Whether you go to Renton station at one side of the hill or Cardross station at the other side of the hill, you'll have a mountain to climb to get to the reservoir and the climb just isn't worth it.

Thanks for the advise... think the 3 mile walk from the train station to Harelaw will give me some exercise. Hopefully it wont be too rainy and windy next monday, lol!
