Question Angus

I have a "Hardy Perfect 3,3/8" and don't know how to open it. Can anyone help please?

Hello apmac.....Angus If ye don't mind waiting a couple of hours I will take a short vid of how I go about doing it with me own battered 3 5/8 ths.
Hope ye'll be able to unner'stan me dialectic dribble though as me accent may prove a wee bit t'ick by' ..... Colonial "yob" ye see

do you mean take the spool out? or is it the box thats tricky

If it's not jammed hold onto the front of the reel and turn the back pannel and it will unwind from its self

Have ye checked to see if there is any line/leader etc. jammed between the spool and reel cage....the method I showed should; I would think, have sufficed to open the reel.... I would also think that there should be a reliable tackle repair shop over your side o' the pond, that could do any necessary repair ..... hope ye finally get it sorted....
