Default Loch Leven Advice

How big is Loch Leven and how much would it cost to hire a small rowing boat on there plus permit to fish? I should really be going for a guide but I'm so skint now. Car cost £470 to fix and now something else gone wrong with it after just getting it back. A/C and blower now stopped working completely. Managed to pick up my Vision Attack rod now though. So what ever you do please never buy a Renault especially a Megane. You'll regret it big time. Was interesting reading the top five loch replies. Looks like Leven won it! Is that because it really is that good or just because fairly easy to get too being near Edinburgh Perth and other urban areas? Or is it quality of fishing and the setting? By the way apart from size what species of fish are in there and how deep does it go?
Cheers,
John
typing this on my mobile phone on Opera mini so apologies if it comes through as one big paragraph!

John, Loch Leven is huge (3000acres+) you cannot hire a wee rowing boat.you hire a 19' clinker built boat with a 5HP engine.I do not recommend you go yourself as it has many shallows to ground you.Why not wait until next year and i'll share a boat with you.
It has only stunning Brown trout.

Okay thanks for that. Will have to try somewhere else tomorrow then. Might try a small river instead unless anyone can suggest any small loch in the Perth Kinross area?
Thanks
John
