Default silver trout !

Click the image to open in full size. I caught these fish today from a scottish loch does anybody know why the fish is silver? I have never caught a fish this colour before!

If it was Carron ,Sloy.Lomond Or Eck then it will be a powan.Or if it is a trout It will be a Seatrout.

...or just a very silver coloured trout.

I have caught plenty of very silver coloured trout in Lochs that have no run of Sea Trout they are not uncommon. Lochs be they large, medium or small in size more often than not contain trout that vary in colour and or spots. From very dark to very silver to butter bellied all in the same Loch and with umpteen spot variations.

Liath it would help if we could see the picture or tell us the Loch which in turn could rule out or in, Sea Trout.

Loch leven trout can be very silvery.

A friend of mine caught a stocked rainbow last year and it was like a bar of polished silver amazing looking fish . I have a pic somewhere I will try and dig it out and post it .

i cant see the pic but i have caught many silver sewin, it could also be a blue trout (member of the rainbow family)

You cant see the pic cos ive not not even found it yet never mind posted it . It was not a blue as the very same place has blues and it was nothing like them .
