Default Flicker Spoons?????

Was wondering do any of you consider using these to be cheating.
Also how effective are they?

Default Banned

They are classed as Spinners, and are banned in most Fly fisheries.

It is not cheating unless you decide to use them in a fishery that has banned them.

As with most things in life, if you suspect something is 'wrong', then it usually is. In terms of vices, pleasures etc, this means go right ahead. With flies though, leave well alone.

Ok fair enough.
I was just told by a bloke i meet at a wedding that they were killers on stockie still waters.
But if they are not allowed neither should big bright coloured lures, the same guy told me that when he ties his own lures, he attaches a little gold thing like a dickie bow tie below the gold head of the lure.
I would prefer not to use them, as i prefer to catch on natural insect imatitions, buzzers and dries my favourite, but if i have paid for 2 fish ands its almost closing time maybe i will get my monies worth with flicker spoons maybe?????
