Default Sheffield Trout in the Town, David Blunkett, Mayflies and match

Hi;

Two new updates today (21st August) on Trout in the Town blog (link below).
http://urbantrout.blogspot.com/
Also, anyone from the Sheffield area who wants to fish in a friendly "any method" roving competition on the urban River Don on September 6th, please pm me for details. As well as a fun day out, it is hoped to turn this into an annual "fish population sample" with data recorded on length, species, location and numbers of fish.

Hi', Paul. Another great post, inspiring and encouraging. Haven't read it all, but I shall. The Crofty shot reminded me that I have four 'pickled' adult sedge for his mate, Andrew Dixon. Must contact him. Keep up the good work. TerryC

"Any method" Jesus Paul, you'll have half of Eastern Europe down there Me and my own gill net would also love to oblige Paul but you've picked the weekend of the Rivers National

Hope it all works out for you this year and you can certainly put me down for next years bash if it all pans out

I'll get to fish the Don one day

CJ

Ha ha ha, yeah - gill nets and dynamite will be "frowned upon" in this Catch and Release match!!

Come down and do it when you have the chance. The first time I fished the sections in question (first weekend in August), me and Skippy had over 50 between us - including some good trout.

Re your availability issues; I'd like to fish the bl00dy Yorks eliminator again at some point - but have had work commitments both this year and last!!

Good luck in the final - the Tees is a beautiful river up there.
