Default How MUCH WOULD YOU PAY FOR YOUR FISHING

On a recent post on the Scottish forum visiting a fishery, who are charging £20 for a full days fishing, One fish then C&R all day, plus a meal, and as much free tea and coffee you can drink.
The hospitality is second to none, the owners even net and release your fish,
there have been a couple of posts from members stating this is expensive,
I think this is a bargain, what would you expect to pay?
These fish are all grade A with full fins and tails like shovels,
And all average 3lbs.
In fact i have not caught one under 3lbs since being a regular.

£20 for a full days fishing plus a meal, tea and coffee etc at a good fishery from the bank is a fair price these days. I would pay it but I wouldn't go every weekend.

sounds like a very fair price for the quality, yer pays yer money. If that is the style of fishing you prefer, then its obviously worth it.

£20 for 8 hours including lunch is good . Compare it to a football match which could be £10, £15, £20 for 90 mins without food. Where else do you get good entertainment for £2.50 per hour.

I hope no fishery owners are reading this. I think a lot are underpriced and would remain value for money if the cost increased. It would however limit my trips as I have two club memberships to pay as well as some outings through the year.

Do the owners really net your fish for you? Not keen on that.

Your telling me that for twenty quid they only net the fish for you? For that I'd want them to tie on the fly, cast out then hook and play it for me as well.

Not for me Im afraid Joe.

£20 for 1 fish is a bit of a rip off IMO.

Seems good to me. Farmoor I is 20 quid a day for catch and release - I think there is a fish limit, but it's a high one. Churn Pool is 20 quid for catch and release with a five fish limit and the option to keep three.

How much better value it is than that depends how good the meal is!
