ive tried to PM a user on this site twice but when i send it its not coming up in my sent items? will it be in my sent items when the user reads it?

Are you sure you are clicking on the right link to PM?

Try sending a PM to yourself as a test. Normally works instantly.

I was thinking he must have sent a visitor message, that will not show up in sent items, but it does show in public profile. ITMS.

I have the same problem. when I sent a PM it doesn't show up in my sent items folder.

Before you send the message - scroll down to "additional options"

Make sure you tick the
"Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder."

If you don't, a copy will not be saved, although the message will be sent

Have a look at your User CP.
Under 'Edit Options', look under 'Messaging and Notifications'. Check the box is ticked for "Save a copy of sent messages in sent folder". I think by default this is unticked. I had the same problem when I first sent a message.
