Unhappy Pollution Tragedy

Bad news for the Usk in Brecon - More than 2,500 fish (trout and salmon parr)
have been killed by pollution in the Tarrell ( a tributary of the Usk). Apparently
a chlorine based chemical has leaked into the river from a unit at the town's industrial estate. A mate says dead fish and fry everywhere.

Damn thats a lot of fish! I don't understand how a company can accidently do something like that.. More like it costs less to pay a fine than it would to have stuff disposed of properly...

And they can probably insure against it. It would be great if the penalty for repeat offences was closure of the business.

Any form of pollution is criminal. The b@stards responsible should face jail time, not a fine.
