Haven't fished it for about 20 years so info may be out of date. Lots of small brown trout, not too difficult to catch but 1lb would be a good one, typical wild brownie fishing. 2 Estates had the fishing rights, one at the dam end (Bruges ?) and Riemore Estate (Colonel Lyle) at the other end. A permit/boat from either allowed fishing over the whole of the loch. Think only one boat at each end although Riemore would also do bank permits. Basically Riemore happy to issue permits but Bruges less so, may have changed since then. Bruges end had vehicle access but Riemore meant a hill walk for about 20/30 minutes. We fished the riemore end and permits/key from the keeper's cottage. Access was up a road from Butterstone village past where Buttersone School used to be. Estate office number is 01738 710225 and they can porbably give more info including the keepers phone number. Don't know about the Bruges but someone may have contact details or for that matter more up to date info.
