Default Tom`s first day out.

Went to Barn Elms, near Theale last wekend, took my 9yr old son,Tom for his first fly chucking session, after a bit of water thrashing, and grass tugging behind him,he managed to finally get a fly out into the water, albeit 20 odd foot out,not bad on a 8`6" 5wht,for first time i spose, any way here`s his first blood, for 2lb each.Damn this is gonna cost me ,2 of us fishing....

Nice catch! That's it - he'll be hooked for life now!

Will you regret it when the time comes that he keeps outfishing you though?

Yes ,a bit weedy in places, due to spring fed,can be a little close down 2 sides due to close trees, just pick your spot, deepest part 15ft,very helpful bailiffs, and also they let us share a ticket,as i was stopping to help him.weekly stocked 2lb avg, with 10% upto 8lb.Very pretty lake,Charles Jardine was there and said it was one off the nicest looking lakes he`s been to in a long time,i think he`s coming back to do a feature on it in the future.
