Default tying a blue damsell any advice

went out for a few hours this weekend besurk amount of blue damsels, found teal blue and silver to be the medicine with bushy blue dabbled on dropper.
any advice on tying a blue damsel, been tying a few with ethafoam and just colouring in blue marker.















i use to be indicisive, but now i'm not so sure.

You could strip the blue pvc from a neutral wire contained in a discarded piece of cable. Just pull the copper wire through it and cut it to length. Tie it in as an extended body and rib the extended body with black floss to depict the damsels segmented look. I used two white hackle points as wings and just a blue seal fur dubbing for the thorax. I suppose you could substitute blue ethafoam for the thorax if you wanted to fish it dry.

Hope this helps. I only tied 2 of these as an experiment and gave 1 away to a pal. The one i kept was lost in a fish that snapped my leader sub surface. It was a decent fish and i will never know if it took the blue damsel pattern on the point or the other flies.
