My very first fish was caught on a daddy long legs after being invited by my ex,s brother to join him at the local fishery and thats nearly 20 years ago and i,ll never forget the instant adrenilin rush i got as that fish smashed the fly I was just wondering how many anglers can remember where and what they caught their first fish on, happy times.

Spent probably about half an hour untangling my line with a black dog knobbler dangling 5 feet under the boat when i was 5 and a half years old!
Went to rip the line out the water, to cast, and it didn't move. 17 years ago. Don't ask me what i had for dinner last night, though!

I remember it vividly it was a black spider, no fly rod just an old spinning rod and a length of mono cast out the best I could on a local river, 2 days after my birthday all this happened 4 weeks ago on my 58th birthday(only joking it was about 40 years ago.

I remember it well,got my dads rod and reel half a dozen worms from the garden quite a long cycle ride to a wee burn were i suprised myself catching a six inch brownie so excited with my catch i packed the rod and reel away and cycled as fast as i could back home were my mum had to clean and cook the fish.Thats was 45 years ago and i still get a thrill from catching six inch wild brown trout.
