Last year someone (Bruno or Cumbrian Chris possibly) decided to have the first one at Harelaw and the next one at Middleton. Quite a lot of people turned up and it was a fine couple of days out putting faces to names

Cumbrian Chris sorted another one at Burnhouse Lochan this year and after that I got a day sorted at Harelaw and another at the Carron Reservoir.

As you know there is a day out on the 30th that you are more than welcome to come along too.

Theres no hard and fast rule as to where the venues are but I thought I would mix it a wee bit with having a vote to see where different people wanted it to be. We are not a club or anything like that, just a few men and women who enjoy a good day out fishing and having a laugh with the rest of the forum members there.

Also there is a very high possibility you will find forum members already fishing the same places you do. You'll discover this over time, so you can always organise a trip with one or two members.

Had a great day at Arnfield yesterday with Alan c off the forums. Top Bloke!

Hi canadakid. Unfortunately I live 75 miles away, not that that stops me from visiting whenever I can. Steve runs a cracking place there, and Alan is also one of the nicest guy you will meet, along with Steve.

Fishing was a little tricky canadakid, fish weren't showing themselves in any great numbers. Managed to catch 13 for the day, mostly on a claret klinkhammer fished static from a drifting boat. Though a few did fall to a cat's whisker on a fast sinker.

Hooked into one of the big double blues (in excess of 15lb) late in the afternoon, it took 20 yards of backing twice! Finally slipped the hook after about 5 minutes. Gutted!

The first forum outing idea was Skamans and a good idea it was too.
