Default Missing angler found on Tay

Just noticed that they have found the body of the angler who went missing on the Tay last week. The report I saw said his body had been found 10 miles from where he went missing. Thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
Make sure if you're out on the river this weekend to take care and never take any chances as no fish is worth losing your life for.

Ian

Dreadful, dreadful shame. My condolences to his family.

As good a reason as I've ever heard to get a lifejacket for bigger water.

How very, very sad this must be for all the lad's family and friends, and for all who fish rivers, because he was one of 'us', whether we knew him or not.
One way we could show our respect for him is to take more care of ourselves, when on the water, as has been suggested. TerryC

It can happen all to easily. I've been very close to being swept away on a number of occasions. Mostly on the Welsh Dee and the Dee draws no comparrison to the power of a huge river like the Tay.

Very sad to hear of this, as said, let us all try to learn somthing from this.
