I've fished it a few times - plenty of troots and the odd big grayling. Permit from the news agent in the square. Most seem to fish it down and across - I'd suggest if they are not on the surface then it had to be some up stream short lining with spiders or nymphs.

Default River Tay trout fishing

Hi

Fished the Aberfeldy Town beat above the bridge in March, caught 3 brownies using PhT nymphs

Tickets available from the Newsagents at the traffic lights at the junction to the Birks of Aberfeldy. Cost in march was £5.oo per day, covers the full stretch of the limits of Aberfeldy, map shown on permit

Cheers

Sandy
