iPod Fishing

I, funnily enough, went fishing yesterday, thinking it being a Monday morning that the small water I fish would be quiet! i was right, only 3 of us to a 3 acre place which was all good.

Anyways, it was the first time I had fished without anyone there for a bout 6 or 7 years and being a "youngster" as I am regularly called in fishing huts, I took my iPhone along to listen to music while I was fishing!! And after a few hours and two fish, one of my favourite songs came on!

It started "Cheer up Brian, you know what they say!... " boom... a fish took my buzzer pretty hard!! Took a while to get the wee bu**er in (my first Blue Trout as well!!) But you really can't beat playing a fish while singing along to Always Look On The Bright Side of Life!!

Not an age thing, I dont think... music is as big as fishing to me!! Though I didnt have it full blast, kept it so wouldnt annoy anyone!!

i take my laptop, phone, tv, mobile broadband, mp3, wii, playstation and dvd player. because i find fishing boring and don't like it. Kinda bad luck for a fisherman!. I never wanted to be a fisherman. I wanted to be a lumberjack.

I am also into my tunes in a big way and have my ears in all the time ....EXCEPT WHEN FISHING

The 2 don't mix IMO.

I walked down the Boltoro Glacier a few years ago, some of the most spectacular scenery on the face of the Earth.

Kept bumping into a fellow who had headphones permanently stuck in his ears and walked along looking at the ground!!
