Default Line slip

I normally fish about a 10 foot leader on a #5 floating line. When fishing a small local stream (about 12' wide) mid stream, the line tends to pull the leader back through the rings. I've tried using a much longer leader which effectively runs all the way from the reel, but is there a better solution?

Thanks
Jura

try shortening it so you have more fly line out of the tip ,you should be able to get away with a 8' leader.
