A few months back I made a small plea for funds for The Wild Trout Trust's Trout in the Classroom project and promised to draw names out of a hat for a day's trouting to anyone from the forum who gave money via the justgiving.com page I'd set up.

We raised a total of £1400 off that web-page and more besides, so that the WTT ended up with closer to 2K. Of course there were many other contributors, but the names I put in the hat were those from the forum, ten of you in total.

The justgiving.com page closed last week and so yesterday morning I put ten names into my fishing hat and asked my daughter to pick one out and the unlucky winner was ... Simon Lewin! So Simon, I'll tie the knots, spot the fish and bring sarnies and beer. You have to turn up.

Many, many thanks to all who made a donation. It's a great project and this has given it a flying start.
