Default leader twist

have i just got to live with it or is there anything i can do to limit the amount of twist i get when i am fishing with flies that are not quite aerodynamic?

i have found winged flies the worst offenders, another reason o like the singapore leaders is they seem to suffer less from line twist...

Try increasing the diameter and/or stiffness of your tippet. A wee bit of pruning the fly may also help. I find stimulators bad for this and often prune the wing.
