Well fish always have to feed on something, so if they're not eating hatching insects then you have to go sub surface and use nymphs etc on a flaoting line with different length leaders (to get different depths) or an intermediate line which will go down slowly.
If they're deeper down than the first few feet, go for a DI3 or even DI7 and a whole range of tactics open up to you then.
Washing line is a good one.
Sinking line, booby or something that floats on your point fly and then a nymph or two on the droppers. This creates a nice U shape and you fish more layers
Still a bit of an open ended question as if we could put everything you needed to know about fishing in a paragraph it would get boring
