Default Should I stay or should I go...

That is the question...

I'm back in work tomorrow after my daughter passing on the pig flu and after being on the forums and the web most of the day, I'm inclined to go spend the evening on Walkerwood, my local fishery. Now looking out of my rear window I can't see the fishery but it's location only a few hundred yards away. I've got to say it, the weather is awful.

Sod it I'm going... Catch y'all later.

Woz

I wouldn't hurry going back to work. I'd tell them you have been infected by the "fish-flu"

Influenza piscatorialis...I believe?

"Fish Flu" LMBO! To late phoned in this morning, I'm back at it tomorrow.

Well I went and now I'm back... The weather was quite surprising really, slight westerly breeze and lots of rain upto about 7pm. Started off with a team of 3 buzzers, kept swapping and changing colours/sizes and slight variations in pattern to no avail. Had 3 or 4 takes but nothing solid.
Once the rain cleared off around 7pm, fish were rising, but nothing to indicate they were taking off the surface. Just under in my opinion, but they turned there noses up at everything I showed them.
Another chap arrived about 7.30pm and was into a nice fish on his 2nd cast. "Grey Wolf" he replied to my calls across the water lol. So I ditched the team of buzzers and fished with a size 16 grey wolf on point and a couple of emergers on the droppers. I had fish rise and boil underneath, to the side and on top of my wolf but I couldn't connect.
As the light began to fade around 9pm it all started for me, virtually every cast I got rises and takes to the grey wolf and little deers hair sedges.
In all caught 3 rainbows best of around 3lb. But in my eagerness and fading light missed far to many to recall... Glad I went and still haven't blanked after 9 trips out, mainly evening after work with a couple of Sundays thrown in to.

Loving it... Woz

An even better one is the mutated strain of man-flu - Manthrax

Default No flu here ....

But when the afternoon temperatures are in the 106 degree range it's just too hot to be out doors. Worse yet, between the sun beating down and the reflection coming back off the water .... you'd fry like a pan cake in an hour.
