River fishing may be a challenge, but there are two large reservoirs.

Hanningfield in Essex

Bewl water in Kent

...also small still water fisheries

Tenterden in Kent

Chalk springs in Sussex

Lastly, Albury estate lakes, if you fancy fishing in Surrey.

Did Chalk Springs, Arundel, Sussex the other week and its really nice and not crowded at all. Crystal clear waters as well. I had my 3 fish limit here - all between 2-3lbs. Would recommend here.

Tried Bewl Water, Kent also the week before and caught nothing, but thats more likely it being my first time out after a tuition day than it being incredibly hard. The boats are only 12.50 at the moment I think.

Springhill, Kent, near Tonbridge was nice too but the fish I caught were both just over 1lb, they did fight well though and saw some biggies moving about.

Theres pics in my galleries (link in my signature).
