Paul G has a spectacular aura aboutPaul G has a spectacular aura about
Default Stuart Crofts: this year's Bernard Venables award winner

Story here: http://www.wildtrout.org/index.php?o...348&Itemid=208

I once again had the pleasure of sharing the "bugs and grubs" display area with Stuart at Belvoir and the off-the-cuff speech he gave when he was surprised with the award was tremendous.

Congratulations Stuart, abundantly well deserved!

Couldn't happen to a better and more worthy bloke. I had the huge pleasure of a day in his company along with and courtesy of Tigermoth this year and it was possibly the best day I've ever had in terms of what I learnt from Stuart about the river and its invertebrates, and I thought I knew a bit about fly life!!

Well done, Stuart. Those who have met you would say that you aren't just a clever chap, you are modest with it, and of a nice disposition. TerryC

He gave a talk and fly-tying demo to our club a couple of weeks ago, which I was very disappointed to have to miss. (Wedding anniversary? Pah!) I'd only heard good things about him anyway, but it sounds like I really did miss out.
