Details:
3 year Project Officer required by Galloway Fisheries Trust for a new project titled 'River Cree Rare Fish Project'. This project will work on the River Cree in SW Scotland and the position is based in Newton Stewart. The Project involves undertaking survey work to understand in more detail various rare species found in the River Cree (including spring salmon, Allis shad, Twaite shad, sparling, freshwater pearl mussel and three species of lampreys). A programme of enhancement measures will be targeted to these fish species and their habitats.
The successful candidate will ideally have relevant qualifications and practical experience, and must have a full driving licence and be able to communicate well with stakeholders and contractors. Salary based on experience, pension contribution provided.
