Default Fishy tale

HI ALL.

this may be of interest. while fishing last season on one of our lakes from a boat and not having much luck.a young man fishing quite close was having a ball with fish after fish ,back at the boat ramp we had a chat {to find out what he was using},he replied stick caddis.NOW i was using stick caddis}the caddis he was using was 4 times bigger than mine{huge}this led to me asking why

so big.

reply was, SO THEY CAN SEE IT ---- WELL

I have only been fly fishing for 60 years the young lad was 15 YEARS OLD.

I tied up a dozen large caddis that night .caught 9 lovely browns the next day.

Never too old to learn.

Same thing happened to me during a Caenis hatch at my local water. I was using two size 20 flies and couldnt rise a fish at all evening though they where supping them down all over the water.

Guy just around the bank had a fish nearly every cast. When passing I asked what he was using........ size 14 caenis
